I'm truly glad you're here.
My name is Alaika Abdullah.
Behind this name is Fithrianti Abdullah—a Chemical Engineer by education, a humanitarian by calling, a strategic communication professional by profession, and an author by heart.

At first glance, those roles may seem unrelated.
But looking back, I have come to realize they have always been different expressions of the same purpose:

Empowering people through stories, knowledge, technology, and meaningful journeys.

My journey began in a laboratory.
As a young Chemical Engineer, I imagined a future surrounded by production lines, quality systems, and formulation research.

Life, however, had a different plan.

Then came the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.
It changed more than the direction of my career.
It changed the direction of my heart.

What began as humanitarian work gradually became a lifelong journey across humanitarian response, post-disaster reconstruction, international development, diplomacy, and industry.

Looking back today, I no longer see those as separate careers.
I see them as different classrooms.
Each one taught me something about people.
About resilience.
About hope.
About communication.

I began writing under the name Alaika Abdullah in 2008. At first, it was simply a personal space to pause, reflect, and make sense of life through words.

I never imagined that those quiet reflections would one day grow into books, a digital publishing platform, speaking engagements, and meaningful connections with readers from different walks of life.

Looking back, I realize that writing has never been just a hobby.
It has been the thread that quietly weaves together every chapter of my journey.

Through Alaika, I write stories about healing, growth, resilience, and the beautiful possibility of beginning again. Because I have learned that sometimes, a story can reach places that advice never can.

Today, another transformation is unfolding before us.

Artificial Intelligence is changing how we learn, create, communicate, and make decisions.
Many people see technology. I see people trying to make sense of it.
Perhaps that is why I find myself drawn to AI literacy.
Not because I believe everyone should become an AI expert.
But because I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to understand the tools that are shaping our future.

Knowledge should never feel intimidating.
It should feel empowering.

That same belief gave birth to Aksara Indie Media, a digital publishing platform created to make publishing more accessible, affordable, and environmentally conscious.
Because I believe good stories deserve to be shared, regardless of where they come from.

It is also the spirit behind AI Circle – Women in AI, a community initiative created to help women explore Artificial Intelligence through practical, approachable, and meaningful learning experiences.

And perhaps one day, through Global Industry Mission, I hope to continue another passion of mine—connecting people, industries, and ideas across borders through meaningful learning journeys.
